Help Sam get something off their chest

Hi there,

Writing this down takes me entirely out of my comfort zone, but after a year of working really hard to get to this point, I am (excited?) to share that I’m having top surgery at the end of December! This procedure will help affirm almost 20 years of gender dysphoria.

Earlier this year, I had an unexpected and lengthy hospital stay, which left me with an excessive amount of medical debt that I am slowly paying down. There are out-of-pocket covers I have to pay two weeks before my surgery and added costs that insurance won’t cover. I’ll be out of work for at least a month after my surgery, so I’m making this gofundme to help cover my procedure and recovery costs.

Asking for support is something I always stress for my friends, but I often don’t hold space for myself to do the same. This gofundme is a step I am taking to change that for myself. Any donation or even just sharing this post is deeply appreciated. To be able to move through life in a body I used to only dream about is the best gift I could ask for, and any help to get there is beyond cherishable.
