<div>We would like to introduce you to an inspiring new Courage Project program, Beyond Horizons. Since 2018, the Courage Project has enhanced the lives of thousands of children experiencing anxiety and depression. Beyond Horizons is a new program tailored to adults navigating grief and loss that harnesses the unique power of nature immersion and outdoor recreation.

<div>Beyond Horizons creates a safe and supportive space for participants to find solace and gain new perspectives on their journey through grief and loss. Our trained facilitators guide participants through physically invigorating outdoor activities, such as climbing and paddling, and through emotionally restorative mindful exercises, and reflective practices. This evidence-based programming also positions participants to cultivate community and connection while supporting one another in exploring and processing their experiences.

<div>My own journey through trauma inspired me to launch Beyond Horizons. I know too well the crushing weight of grief. Getting myself outdoors provided me an outlet to engage with my emotions and memories. In the skin track, I could breathe, process and reflect. In the flow of the mountain bike trail, I could find clarity and emotional release. Low-cost access to Beyond Horizons’ immersive program can bring these benefits to many more people coping with grief and in need of support.
