Beverly's House Fire

Donation protected
Beverly Jones is my friend and my supervisor at the Children's Home Society of Florida--Family Visitation Center. While most of Florida was hunkering down in the middle of Hurricane Irma and praying that the winds and rain would not be too damaging, Beverly's house, her HOME of 30 years,  caught fire in NE Gainesville.

By the grace of God, Beverly and her daughter had decided to spend the storm with an elderly relative to be of assistance to her and were not home at 5am while firefighters  tried to put out the blaze .  Beverly and her daughter are currently living in a hotel as the insurance company decides whether or not the house is totalled--in the meantime, they've been asked not to remove any of the very few items in the house that were spared, despite the gaping hole in the roof and doors that no longer shut completely. Every single day-to-day item needs to be replaced, including clothes, toiletries, personal effects...not to mention larger items like furniture, electronics, kitchen appliances, dishes, food...everything.

Although their memories can not be replaced, let's do what we can to help Beverly and her daughter re-group and start to rebuild.
