Funeral Expenses; Memorial Site

Parker Gilliland lost his life on 7/10/2014 to completely avoidable circumstances.  The house fire ended the lives of Katie Gilliland's mother, CJ Gilliland, and brother, Parker Gilliland. As the news has stated, it was intentional and personally knowing how much Katie fought to have her brother, it COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. Funeral costs are extremely expensive and not to mention the complete and utter emotional turmoil Katie is going through -- if you can spare some funds, please help. Anything will help. More than anything, Katie wants her brother's memory to live on.

Katie:

I would like everyone to know. That the system failed. It failed me. And it most certainly failed my baby brother. Cps and the sheriffs department were aware that park was afraid for his life to be in that house ... Yet they made him go back . For the sheriff who told me that this wouldn't happen. I can only hope you and other people can learn from this . And know that anything can happen . My heart is in pieces this morning as I realize I lost my brother to something that was preventable . And the loss of my mother.

Please spread awareness, if not for Parker, for someone else who could possibly lose their lives for something preventable. Know that all threats are real and should be taken seriously.

Information Regarding Arrangements:

Parker Taylor McGilliland arrangements are Sunday July 13th at Day funeral home . Visitation are 12-3 with 4pm graveside service at Mt giliead church. For Parker's friends please wear your favorite superhero shirt , as Parker's favorite thing was superheroes.
