Hi Everyone!

This is Caroline Cavalier. I am a third-year student at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York as an English/Creative Writing and Art History/Visual Arts double major. I am a visual artist, photographer, writer, and emerging filmmaker. I am incredibly passionate about the arts and storytelling; if you know anything about me, you know that I am passionate about creating art that is raw, authentic, vulnerable, and real to help those struggling to feel less alone in this world. That being said, I am asking for your help to create my debut short film, “Between You and Me,” which I have written and will direct.

It is common practice for emerging filmmakers to raise money for their independent films, as there are multiple expenses that come with the creative process. Therefore, I have started this GoFundMe in order to ask for donations and your support. My crew and I are currently in the process of pre-production, where we will establish our budget and begin planning before the filming process. In order to get this project up and running, we are hopeful to raise $6,000 by the end of December, which is when we intend to shoot. We are in need of funds to cover the costs of a cinematographer, editor, and music composer as well as costs to feed the crew and cover film festival submission fees when the time comes. Any donation or even a share of this donation page is greatly, greatly appreciated. I can not express how grateful I am for your support.

I am extremely passionate about my film. Films and visual art have helped me navigate some difficult times in my own life and through my work, I will strive to make others feel seen, heard, important, and validated. I am hoping you will consider supporting me along this journey.
