When we (co-workers) heard that Betty had developed stage four lung cancer, We couldn’t believe it because we couldn’t imagine anything slowing down this powerhouse of a woman.
She’s not just a helpful, kind, reliable coworker, she’s also a caring friend, a mom, and mom to her family of fur babies, who are always looking for a lap and some love. She’s also a loving wife to her husband Tom who has endured several surgeries after a near fatal motorcycle accident only two years ago.
The costs of doctor visits and treatments we know are mounting once again. She’s endured many hours in doctor’s offices and hospital rooms both with Tom and alone, waiting to hear results, waiting for treatment.
