Betty Jean Garay Medical Needs

On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 Betty (Mrs. Jeannie) Garay was in a motor vehicle accident and also had multiple strokes. She has been in the hospital since then and is currently in a in-patient rehab facility. She is scheduled to come home on Thursday, November 30. We have been told that when she comes home she will need 24 hr in-home care. She will also need out-patient rehabilitation and medications as part of her recovery and continued health.  She currently does not have any movement from her right shoulder down through her hand and has minimal vision in both of her eyes. She has regained some mobility in her right leg which is truly a blessing. We have been told most of the recovery will happen within 3 to 6 months but she will continue to recover every year. As a full-time NISD volunteer for 8 years volunteering ~40 hours a week, she did not have any health insurance. If there is anything you can do to help with these expenses it would really be a blessing for her.
