On January 26, 2017 Bettina found a lump sitting between her ribcage and her left breast. Alarmed, she quickly went in to see her primary care doctor and a slew of tests including bloodwork, mamogram, ultrasound, MRI and needle biopsy confirmed her worst fear. In the middle of February, she heard the terrifying words "You have breast cancer".
In the next 2 weeks, Bettina will undergo a double mastectomy at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California. Surgery and follow up treatment will make it impossible for her to run her owner operated personal chef and cleaning company for several months. She won’t be able to stay in her home without help.
As a single mom to 9 yr old Zoe, it is critical that Bettina be able to focus on her healing and not worry about where she will live or if she can afford food or to keep the lights on. Zoe needs her mama to get well quickly! I've known Bettina for about 10+ years and her daughter is the center of her Universe. Bettina MUST win this fight.
