Most Kenyan communities are struggling with poverty in the 47 counties either in rural or urban centers. Kenya being a third-world country, it’s struggling economically to fight cases of corruption thus rendering its citizens susceptible to poverty, employment, poor education, health facility provision. This situation has left many Kenyan families in dire desperation of unequal distribution of government resources, poor quality education, and health care in government facilities. This has left many Kenyans uncompetitive locally and globally, many talents and bright minds being sunk in the rural areas and slums in the cities, people dying and struggling with common curable diseases. Most university graduates are unemployed and there are no job opportunities in government parastatals and offices, and Kenyan universities are graduating students ranging between 20,000 - 50,000 students per year. These students end up unemployed and live with hand-to-mouth jobs.
By clearly identifying the problems the Kenyan community is facing, the community team in Kenya has come up with long-term solutions to address poverty, unemployment, better health care, and ensure equality in quality education. WE Foundation is a non-profit organization steered by the WE team that has sought to provide education and employment opportunities to improve and better their livelihoods. WE Foundation is working to provide education to young professionals and young children, to teach, mentor, and prepare individuals for job opportunities in our associate partners. WE Foundation is also working to build a self-sustainable model that will work to provide essential medical care to Kenyan communities that lack access, including a mobile health facility that will be visiting all the 47 counties and especially the poverty-stricken counties.
Our educational programs are addressing the ‘WE Foundation Mission and Vision’ of changing the conversation among the Kenyan communities on approaches to our education systems and the job markets where we eventually develop systems that mold and prepare entrepreneurial, inventive, and innovation-oriented citizens who will be independent and less dependent on government jobs.
The WE Team Kenya is looking forward to setting up an office in Kenya, acquiring the expected licenses and legalities for setting up the Foundation, and ensuring we are able to acquire resources. We are also looking forward to carrying out training to individuals who will be part of the Foundation management team and other stipulated activities that will help us engineer our mission of bettering the living standards of the Kenyan community.
To make this dream come through, The WE Team Kenya is cordially asking for a helping hand in raising a total of $10,000 that will help us secure all the operational costs for the development of this Foundation. WE Kenya are requesting your support, walk with us through this journey of improving the lives of the Kenyan community and bettering humanity of our communities that they are worthy of a life full of hope.
