Colin was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2004, at the age of 47 years.
Colin experiences most symptoms pertaining to Parkinsons, with multiple falls and injuries due to his decreased lack of coordination and movement. Although fighting a good fight, and trying various treatments, it has come to the stage where he is now facing his last chance of available treatment to improve his quality of life.
In his last efforts to regain quality, independent living, he is waiting to be scheduled for Deep Brain Surgery (DBS) through Dr Julian Rodrigues (Neurosurgeon) and his team. This is expected to occur within the next 6-8 weeks. Despite top private health insurance, there is a financial gap of $10,000 with minimal time to raise this money. This treatment has been shown to relieve up to 90% of symptoms, and improve patient's quality of life substantially.
