Beth Stewart 4th TIME CANCER EXPENSE

Donation protected
Mother of 4 and Grandmother to 2, now in a battle with time to beat the 4th onset of cancer. With one child still at home in her high school years Beth continues to fight.
With 12 weeks of Chemotherapy down we thought she had it beat but two weeks later it returned. Please consider donating now to Beth and her family.

First, thank you for taking a moment and looking at our fundraiser.
In October of 2015, our family experienced our first go round with cancer when Beth was diagnosed and had surgery for ovarian cancer. With surgery we thought we had beat the cancer and so we didn't need to undergo treatment with chemotherapy.

1 week shy of her 2 year clean from ovarian cancer, she underwent another surgery for a mass located in her groin area. The surgery was a success but this time we needed to go through chemotherapy. Treatment was delayed by 6 weeks because the mass, while we knew it was cancer, doctors here in Tucson and across the country couldn't determine the exact type of cancer and chemotherapy can not be preformed until a type of cancer was determined.
During the waiting period and the day after Thanksgiving, Beth was rushed to the Hospital where she was admitted, her cancer had returned and spread to her lungs.
The good news was, that we finally received word of what it was..... Germ Cell Tumor..... a highly rapid spreading cancer but very responsive and treatable with chemotherapy and radiation.
With the cancer type determined, we were to start a 12 week treatment done in 4 sessions.
Each session consists of: first week she gets 3 different chemicals pumped into her body everyday taking about 6 hours a day. In the second week, she goes for just one day of chemo but the rest of the week she has to have white blood cell shots. And she repeats week 2 for week 3. This is just one round and she has to have 4 complete rounds. During this time she may also have to have blood transfusions. Then she will begin radiation and be re-evaluated.
At the time of this edit, she has completed chemotherapy with a 2 week down period and was told she was cancer free again but was still getting ready to begin radiation.
A golf ball size lump has again developed in the 2 weeks down time and we have been told it was just fluid build up. It has been drained and sent to lab for testing.
Yesterday, we received word that she is not cancer free, it has again returned.
We have tried to deal with all expenses ourselves. We have asked creditors and utility companies and other expenses that we owe to people to be patient.
Beth is on short term disability which gives us $60 a day and she has drained her 401k.
I took off a month to care for her during the first session of treatment with no short term disability and drained my 401k also before returning to work January 1. As a truck driver I must leave her during this time for weeks at a time to try and provide but we still can't make ends meet.
Our kids and family members are now her caregivers. Our 14 year old has taken on the responsibility of running a house and going to school. Our older kids have moved closer to us to aide in driving her to appts and helping our youngest with the household of duties.
Many friends have been amazing too with bringing food when I'm on the road.
But now we have exhausted all avenues and while she is on food stamps and insurance help, we still have too many bills and while even our landlord is amazing in that she works with us, I still worry about rent and car payments and insurance, and exhausting our family and friends .
Beth has had cancer 4 times now in 2 years. Medical expenses are overwhelming compounding from 2015 and now and my pride in asking for help has to be placed aside, we, our family, needs your help.

I can Never repay the financial aspect of what you give ...... but I will always be in your debt and willing to work hard to help in any physical or emotional way I possibly can. ( moving, gardening, hauling, etc)
Thank you from our family
