Beth, Kyle & Little Reggie Roo

Reggie was born in Hereford on 19th June 2018 and went straight to the special care baby unit. He was transferred to the neonatal unit in heartlands hospital in Birmingham for 3 weeks and then moved to picu in Birmingham children’s hospital so that he could be looked after by the best Doctors and Nurses available.
His Mummy and Daddy are lucky enough to be staying at the Ronald McDonald house right next to the hospital and they love being able to see him every day and help the lovely nurses care for him, but this means that Mummy and Daddy are not able to work as they need to be close to their precious little bunny.
Unfortunately there are no funds available for parents in these circumstances, and therefore this means that they are currently getting no financial help to pay their rent and other bills. We don't know how long little Reggie will need to stay in hospital but he is having lots of tests at the moment to try and get a diagnosis.
Currently, the doctors think he has tracheomalacia, abnormal heart vessels, coloboma/abnormal optic nerves and small kidneys on top of problems with his lungs. Doctors suspect a corrective tissue disorder which is breaking down the cartilage in his airway as this is the only thing that can explain what is happening to little reggie. However, doctors cannot diagnose anything until specific genes have been tested which could take months/years for results to come back, but at the moment Reggie is stable.
