Best Family House Fire

Two days before Thanksgiving, a fire started in the common wall shared between our duplex and the neighbors, forcing us out as the firefighters had to tear through to contain and extinguish the flames.  We were lucky in that no injuries were caused to either family or the pets.  Everyone is accounted for and safe. 

Unfortunately this has left us with the urgent need to find a new place to live smack dab in the middle of the holiday season. While insurance should hopefully cover a lot of what we lost, we still have to find storage for the rest of our things, as well as a rental truck to move and other costs associated with that. 

Any amount raised will go towards the cost of moving, deposits, and replacing anything that insurance doesn't cover. 

We are also looking for help moving when that time comes, packing everything up, and cleaning anything that we can so that we can salvage it. I know our daughter would love it if we could save some of her stuffies, as all of them were damaged by smoke and smell. 

We have two weeks to get everything in order and out of the house, according to our landlord, so hopefully we can get this resolved as soon as possible.
