Bernie's Second Wind

In 2010 my mother in law was diagnosed with COPD after spending 2 weeks in intensive care. Since then her health has rapidly declined. She currently has 4% lung capacity in one lung and 9% in the other. This past March the doctors told her she needs a double lung transplant, without it they gave her a year to live. Everyday she takes 30 different medications, 4 different types of inhalers, and 4 breathing treatments. She is on oxygen 24/7 and a ventilator 8 hours of the day. After she receives the transplant she will need 2-3 months round the clock care. To make this situation even worse my father in law, who financially supports both of them, hasn't been able to work because he has two hernias and a herniated disc. Even though Bernie has health insurance the medical bills are starting to pile up. I am asking for any donations to help out with her medical costs. Anytime someone needs help they are always there to do what they can. My father in law shut down his business for 3 months and raised thousands of dollars for a friend who needed a liver transplant. He has donated to countless youth organizations, did multiple fundraisers for the veterans and if tragedy hits our community he is one of the first people to help. So now it is time that I ask our family, friends and community to help them. Bernie has had to sacrifice so much already, so please help make her recovery as easy as possible.
