Berkshires Best Photo Book
Background: Ever since I was thirteen I have had an immense passion for the art of photography. I made a pact with myself to achieve a level of mastery, which would allow me to bring my creative visions to life. My desire to become a master of the art has sparked a life long journey, which challenges me to continually grow and explore diverse areas of photography.
Goal: To create the best photography book in existence of Berkshire County, Massachusetts. My aim is to start the production of the book by November 2017.
Qualifications: 13 years of photography experience, 7 years of seasonal photography in the Berkshires as well as a BA in Arts Management.
Origins: While originally from North Greenbush, NY., I moved to the Berkshires to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Arts Management at MCLA. Through the years I have captured some of the most intimate moments between the landscape and the lighting from the sky above.
Book Content: The book will be 8.5''x11'' containing over 100 images of the Berkshires. It will cover North through South County as well as every season of the year.
There is no other book like it in existence! Please help support me in bringing this project to life, which in turn will also help promote the natural beauty of a place that I believe is overlooked, but am more than proud to call home. Photography is my life passion: I have dedicated hours of labor over the years climbing mountains in extreme conditions to capture the images printed within the book.
The Berkshires have enhanced my love for photography and I am determined to repay the favor by displaying them in the best way possible. Your support would mean the world to me and would help push me one step closer towards my lifelong dream: becoming an internationally renowned photographer. Why $2,500?
Producing photography books is expensive. It costs about $2,500 for only 100 books (this is the most reasonable of the quotes I have received). If I can raise over $2,500 I will be able to increase the number of books in the order and therefore be able to spread the beauty of the Berkshires even further!
UPDATE: A few changes were made to the book including the number of images/pages and the dimensions of the book to prevent any cropping of the images. It nearly doubled the price and the cost now sits barely under $5000 which is unfortunate but not project shattering.
Since $1500 was raised by Ocotber 1st I have matched $1500.
