San Francisco Unhoused Care Package Fund
Everyday I walk my dog through the Mission in SF and I interact (distantly) with many people in the community. Many of the these people are unhoused at the moment due to COVID-19. As I got to learn more about their stories they all sound familiar. Some of these unhoused people just do not have the support or resources to get back on their feet and have been surviving the winter with minimal basic needs to stay warm, safe, and healthy. As a member of this community I think it is important to help those who are need with the basic survival necessities. As the temperature continuously decreases, I am asking for donations so that my friends and I can put together care packages for the unhoused community. Care packages with include: blanket, socks, beanies, gloves, mask, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, tampons, tooth brush, water, and snacks. I have already bought small backpacks, but will need further support for the rest. I understand that it is trying times, and if you have any means to help it will impact someones life tremendously. I am so thankful for who ever is taking the time to even just read this, and hope you all stay safe, warm, and healthy.
**** Once fund goal is met I will be able to hit Costco and order supplies on Amazon. Will post receipts so all donors can see where the money is going. After that, updates will be made of progress on care packages and when we except to hand them out****
