Friends and Family,
Most of you know my New York story from the Military to Musical Theatre to Free Lance AV to Full Time Production Manager. All the while trying to stay creative and crafty with projects like High Fashion, Painting, Carpentry, Tiling, Kitchen Remodels and Radon Mitigation. I want to keep doing all of these things, however space is limited in NYC and my apartment is inundated with tools of the trades. I can barely function in this space. In the past few months I've come to the realization I need to officialy start something new on the side, support the space issue and also keep scratching my creative itch. Next week I am making my first leap of faith at Rutgers University to acquire my Radon Testing and Mitigation Certifications. Thankfully the VA Post 9/11 GI Bill will be covering 90% of the courses costs!! However if you know anything about the VA and Government in general you have likely deduced they take some time to get things done. I do not. Currently I'm floating some considerable costs. So I'm asking for help with start up funds. For this venture I'll need: multiple licenses, specialty tools, a work van/insurance, parking, business insurance and loads of odds and ends that always add up. Right now I'm conservatively asking for any help from $1 - 15k.
I have been encouraged by friends and colleagues who have already asked for my handyman services. I hope to accomidate them with new mobility and freedom to say yes!
Please consider helping me tackle NYC from one more angle. I hope I can return the favor in the future.
