Ben's Autism Assistance Dog

We are raising money for an Autism Assistance Dog for Ben to help him access his education, build his independence and support his speech and wellbeing. The past 18 months have been very tough for Ben. His sensory differences and the strain of navigating social environments have resulted in a year out of school and ill health as he's struggled to leave the house and speak to people who aren't family. For a bright, wonderful teenager who had imagined going to university this isolation has been really hard... but there's hope and Ben's found a way to access the world again. An Autism Assistance Dog is far more than a pet and companion, it is a highly trained animal that supports a young person with Autism in everything from sleeping, to leaving the house, to accessing places like schools, shops and hospitals. In short, an Autism Assistance Dog could transform Ben's life! The money raised will pay for the programme of support and training for the dog and the family. Thank you for supporting our journey.
