Ben Merritt Memorial Fund

This Memorial fund is being establish in Ben's memory.  Following a long and brave battle to recover from a consuming addiction he lost his fight at age 31.   He is admired for his constant and courageous efforts to live a healthy life and we are all deeply saddened he will not realize his hopes and dreams.

Ben was a kind, reflective, genuine, compassionate, loving and generous person.  He was a spiritual person  and he believed that God had a plan for him. He ferverently hoped he could use his suffering and life lessons to help others who are struggling.

His hope was to someday become a substance abuse counselor and make an impact on the lives of so many dealing with this horrific disease.  The lack of resources and awareness are too often  road blocks to those seeking recovery.  This fund has been established by his family to promote  Ben's deep desire to provide  help and support for those working on recovery from addiciton.

 Your contributions will be used to provide funding for those seeking treatment in nonprofit organizations and to promote education regarding addiction.  Ben's family will be responsible for the disbursement and managemnt of the Ben Merritt Memorial Fund.
