<div>Jaminah’s Bakeshop, owned and operated by Benjie and Alma Sanchez, is a staple in our communities. If you’ve been to any farmers market in the Lakeland area, you’ve likely tried their delicious cheese buns or cinnamon buns. The inspiration behind this family owned business is their 7 year old daughter Jaminah. Jaminah is always the brightest person in the room. She loves to draw, sing, and spend time with her family. If you have had the pleasure of meeting this little girl you will know how remarkable she is. She will brighten your day with flowing compliments and pure genuine friendship.

<div>Benjie and Alma have received the devastating news in 2016, Jaminah has Cavernous Malformation, a form of irregular blood vessels around the brain that causes blood clots, severe headaches, tiredness, and weakness in her right arm/hand. In November 2023, a blood clot burst, sending Jaminah and her family to the Stollery. She is currently taking medication to help with swelling of the brain and to prevent seizures. We are asking for your help to ensure Jaminah gets all the care she needs so she may continue to shine as brightly as ever.

<div>Jaminah will be undergoing brain surgery in the new year. The appointments, hospital stays, travel, long hotel stays, medications, and other expenses are going to add up fast over these next few months.

<div>On December 29, Jaminah will be needing to travel to the U of A Hospital for an MRI.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>January 2, Jaminah will be traveling to meet her Neurologist and pre-admission clinic.
</div>

</div>
<div>January 8, Jaminah will be traveling back to the Stollery for admission for surgery.
</div>

</div>
<div>January 9, Jaminah’s brain surgery is scheduled to take place and the family will be needing hotel accommodations.
</div>

<div>We are asking for your help to support Benjie, Alma and Jaminah in the months ahead with many upcoming expenses. Fuel, hospital parking fees, missed work, food, hotel, medications and many more unforeseen expenses.
