Benjamin Smith’s sponsored custard read

Donation protected

Last year. then 6 year old. Benjamin read a book of poems with his Grandad entitled ‘Standing on Custard’. It gave him an idea. Benjamin is very familiar with Treetops special needs school in Grays. His aunty was a pupil there and his mum works there leading the therapy department. That department wants to be able to fund some resources and equipment to support the pupils with their interventions that help with their speech, language and communication needs as well as their physical, social, sensory, environmental and emotional needs. In particular the team are wanting to set up a gym trail which will help to support pupils with motor and coordination difficulties. Benjamin has decided to take on the challenge of sitting in a paddling pool of custard whilst reading ‘standing on custard’ to help to raise some of the much needed funds to support this project. The custard is very kindly being donated by Tesco in West Thurrock. Tesco are also donating the equivalent amount spent on custard to the food bank which is incredible.

Please if you have anything spare and can sponsor Benjamin it would be so very much appreciated. He is very much looking forward to taking on this challenge for such a worthwhile cause.
