Benjamin Salas - World Championship

Hi! My name is Ben Salas. I am a 20-year-old Junior at NC State University, pursuing my undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I am also a 3rd-year shooting athlete on the NCAA Rifle Team. In June of this year, and with the help of my coaching team at Team Winning Solutions, I won the Junior gold medal at the USA Shooting Rifle Nationals, held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. There, I competed against the top junior shooters from around the country and earned a coveted spot on the US National Team. As a member of the Team, I now have the opportunity to compete on the international stage against the best athletes in the world. The first opportunity is the 2022 World Championship hosted by The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) in Cairo, Egypt this October! This is where you can help! Your financial contribution will support my competition expenses as I take on world-class athletes over the course of two weeks in pursuit of the Olympic stage.

The World Championship match is a pinnacle part of our nationals qualification for the Olympic Games in 2024, where we have the opportunity to earn quotas to send Americans to continue our success from the last Olympics. This match kicks off the race between the nations around the world to collect up to two quotas per event. I am competing for one of these quotas!
