<div>Benjamin Ribeyre, a beloved husband, devoted father, and highly respected mountain guide, died tragically on 24 March 2026 in a mountain accident. He leaves behind his wife, Erin Smart, and their young son, Marlo, who meant everything to him.

<div>Benj was an extraordinary father—loving, devoted, and full of light. The bond he shared with Marlo was truly special. He cared deeply for his family, and his absence will be felt immensely. Erin and Marlo will need all the love and support we can give in the coming days, months, and years.

<div>Benj lived with passion, purpose, and exuberant energy. As a talented alpinist, skier, and respected mountain guide, he spent his life in the mountains he loved—guiding, exploring, and protecting the wild places he called home. His achievements, including ambitious expeditions like the Arctic 12 and pioneering routes in the Mont Blanc massif, reflected both his extraordinary talent and his fearless, adventurous spirit.

<div>As a guide, teacher, and steward of the mountains, Benj shared that passion generously with others. Benj contributed to the safety and knowledge of the mountain community and worked as an instructor and examiner for France’s national mountaineering school and the previous president of the Guide Company in Oisans-Écrins.

<div>This fund is dedicated to supporting Erin and Marlo as they navigate this unimaginable loss. All donations will go directly to Erin to help ease both immediate and future financial burdens.
