Benefit for Karen Hill

2018 has been a rough year for my mother, Karen Hill. After complications from an emergency appendectomy in the spring, she has been in and out of hospitals, had two major surgeries and endured weeks of excruciating pain.

On Sunday, August 12, while visiting family in Alaska, she suffered a stroke. As of Wednesday, August 15, she is still in the hospital here and unsure of when she will be able to go back to Texas where she will have to stay in a rehab hospital.

My father, Steve, started a new job a few weeks ago, so not only is this hurting their income, but their health insurance deductibles just started all over again. Between missing work, flying to Alaska and back, and paying insurance deductibles, there is a financial burden ahead.
