Benefit for Bernie Marino

Hi friends and family. This benefit is being put together to help my Uncle Bernie with his hospital bills that have added up over the last year and a half. To those that aren’t familiar with his situation, his journey began over a year ago when he went in to have a valve replaced in the back of his heart which was successful until he went back in with shortness of breath, to which they found he had a collapsed lung. After months of debate between doctors he had a procedure done on his lung to help it expand. After months in the hospital they found that he had a paralyzed diaphragm to which they put a pacemaker on his diaphragm to help stimulate it back to health. Through all of this the stress that his body was put under led to his kidney failing in which he has to have dialysis 3 times a week. The last 3-4 months he’s been in a rehab facility working hard to get stronger and get back on his feet. This is where we need your help. He’s still in a rehab facility and has over a year of hospital bills. We are hoping that Bernie will be strong enough to be there for the benefit we are also holding.
