Benefit Brenda Beating Cancer

Donation protected

My mom Brenda went in for a biopsy on Friday June 2nd of this year. The biopsy was on her lungs and included having multiple nodules removed on her right lower lobe as well as remove lymph nodes to be tested. As we all remained positive awaiting the results, on Wednesday June 14th we were all crushed to hear the results of the biopsy. Brenda has been diagnosed with Stage 2 lung cancer and is scheduled for yet another surgery to remove the lower right lobe of her lung that is the site of the cancerous tumor. The entire healthcare team has informed that it is aggressive and has potential to become stage 4 if they do not move rapidly. She will begin treatment shortly after recovery from the surgery which is scheduled for Wednesday June 21st. Her treatment will also be aggressive and consist of both chemo and radiation. For all that don't know much of her past, this will be the fourth time she has been diagnosed with this disease. She has survived breast cancer in 2009 where she was treated with chemo and unfortunately had to have a mastectomy. Shortly after the chemo treatments she had developed multiple other medical issues ranging from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, then a slipped disc in her back and eventually needing a hip replacement from the cancer metastisizing to her bones. A few years later a cancerous lesion was found behind her eye where she went through a radiation treatment, which aided in shrinking the lesion. Now being in remission for a year, she was informed again of cancer forming in the bone of her right thigh, again having to endure radiation treatment. The funds that we are raising are going to help immensely. Ranging from helping with co-pays, prescriptions, treatment and healing, gas to get to and from the overwhelming amount of doctor visits and not to mention parking. Brenda has given more to everyone she has come in contact with than she ever gives herself. She has always made sure others have shelter, food, clothing, and comfort when people are down on their luck. Sometimes even people she just has met. She is the one to give her last just to make someone smile. She is the best person to go to for any and everything, even when she's at her worst. She gives and gives in every way possible and even when people don't have her best interest at heart; she forgives and continues to help. Even the ones that don't deserve her presence and have been unkind or cruel to her; Brenda is a lover and forgives always. All that know my mom knows how many people she is adored by and how she has always been the most crazy, lovable, fun loving, caring, and giving woman we know. She is the one to brighten everyone's days just by being her. Let's do this together and get this wonderful woman to the end of this rotten disease in the most comfortable, healthy and quickest way possible. Your donations will be so incredibly important during this time to aid in a quick recovery Despite funds she is going to need much more than money to help. She is going to need to know how strong she is, how loved she is, how special she is. Encouragement, kind words, a simple hug or laugh can make the biggest difference. Please feel free to reach out and show your support as much as you can, she's going to need the love, thoughts and prayers. I will continue to keep everyone posted of her progress and information regularly.
