Benansio's Medical Fund

My name is Irri and I have been working in South Sudan on human rights related issues for the past four years. In the course of my work I recently met Benansio and learned about his problem.

Benansio is a fifteen year old South Sudanese boy who is suffering from Burkitt’s lymphoma. The chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment Benansio requires is not available in South Sudan and his family does not have the means to pay for it.

The lymphoma is growing fast and is affecting Benansio’s eyesight and breathing, but if he receives urgent treatment, the chances of recovery are high. The funds raised will be used to cover transportation from Juba to Khartoum for Benansio and a relative, and for food, accommodation, and all the medical expenses.
