UPDATE***
More survivors from the Family Court system will now be joining Charlotte on the Ben Nevis Trek. Sarah Blankey and Georgia Gabriel-Hooper are going to be donning their walking boots and help raise awareness of the #JusticeForFCchildren campaign and raise money for SUTDA.
Victoria has teamed up with TheCourtSaid to write an open letter to the Justice Minister Robert Buckland QC MP in light of the Family Court Review asking for redress on unsafe contact orders and children removed from the safe parent to be returned. Charlotte has signed for #JusticeForFCchildren.

The Campaign and Trek
Hi, thank you for looking at our Campaign
We are 2 Mums with daughters, we would like to gain your support with our Campaign #JusticeforFCchildren
We have both had our own personal experiences of the draconian, barbaric Family Court system which has spurred us on to fight for change.

In June 2020 the review into Family Courts and how it treats victims of domestic abuse and their children was published. It is a damning report and echoes our concerns that victims of domestic abuse and their children are horrifically let down by the system.

Our plan-

We desperately need people in power to help us gain justice and protect our daughters.
Charlotte and Victoria met via Victoria’s campaigning to get her daughter home, Charlotte wanted to do something to help, not only Victoria, but the many other Mums and to keep her own daughter safe after escaping an abusive relationship.
Charlotte had the idea to trek Ben Nevis to raise awareness of these injustices through Family Court. Charlotte will trek Ben Nevis on the 3rd October 2020. Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the United Kingdom, the summit is 1,345 metres (4,413 ft) above sea level and the average time taken to climb Ben Nevis is 7-9 hours.

Charlotte would like to give any money raised to the prominent Domestic Abuse Campaigner Rachel William’s charity SUTDA (Stand Up To Domestic Abuse) https://sutda.org/
Rachel has supported Victoria for 2 years now, Rachel Williams speaks of Victoria’s case: “I am aware of a case in Cumbria and have been supporting the lady for over two years. It is a shocking case which we shouldn’t even be having to bring this out in the media. This should have been dealt with properly, by a Judge, with specialist training in domestic abuse skills. This would have given that Judge an insight to the horrors that this victim has faced by her perpetrator and sadly now by those who are meant to protect her.”
Rachel is an Ambassador for the Freedom Programme, Patron for SEEdS Wales and a Safelives Pioneer. She campaigns tirelessly and is committed to ending domestic abuse, her ambition includes to set up the ‘House that Jack built’, a children and young person’s refuge and place of safety, in memory of her son.
