Raising awareness for men’s cancer and mental health is so important and your
support is so appreciated

Seeing as both our dads passed away
way too early with different types of
cancer and were both Port Stephens
residents, we are wanting to donate any
funds raised locally to the Port Stephens Prostrate Cancer support group who
also provide transport to any Port
Stephens residents with cancer, that
need help getting to appointments and
treatments in Newcastle.
This money will go a long way for their
organisation.

The date of the big cut will be the last
weekend in November and will update
everyone with details when they are
locked in.

Please chuck in what you can, we need to look after our men and also get them
looking after themselves.

Prostate Cancer Support Group Inc:
We receive funds by way of Donations
from public and community groups,
grants from Cancer Council and various
fund raising events.
These funds are used to provide
transport from Port Stephens to
Newcastle on an individual basis for
person/patients who suffer from cancer and in need of treatment like radiation
and chemo etc. from various hospitals
located in Newcastle area.
Each trip is between 120 and 150
kilometres. Our volunteer drivers are
paid a nominal fee by us to cover some
vehicle costs. Total kilometres travelled
in 2016 exceeded 60000.
Our group also promotes the awareness of Prostate Cancer in Port Stephens areaOur group Meets monthly with both
prostate and non prostate
victims/persons to provide interaction
and discussion.
