Ben is resting peacefully back at home, eating regularly, taking his medication, feeling safe, watching his favorite shows on TV with Mahina his dog at his side.
This appeal is to help defray medical and caretaker costs for Ben Aipa. A well-known and celebrated Surf and Shaping icon, Ben retired to the Big Island with his health in a state of decline. He now has Stage 6 Dementia, many health issues and suffered through several strokes: the latest required emergency air transport to Queens Medical Center on Oahu where he spent several days in ICU. This has essentially left Ben as a paraplegic in need of 24 hour care. Sole caretaker responsibilities fall to his wife Lenore. Any assistance in relieving pressures from bills and caretaker responsibilities would be greatly appreciated
