Beltus Nyambi Memorial Fund

Today we are asking for your help and support during this tragic time.  The Cameroonian Community in Edmonton, Canada has suffered the untimely and tragic loss of a young Cameroonian by the name of Beltus Nyambi after a brief illness in the early morning of December 31, 2014.  This sudden loss has devastated the family and friends. Even though we can offer support both emotionally and physically, I feel there is more we can do to help.

Beltus  attended GHS Tiko and BHS Buea for his secondary  and high school education. From there, he went to the University of Buea where he obtained a BSc in Environmental Science. After graduation, he embarked on a long academic journey that took him to Sweden, Denmark and finally Canada, where he respectively obtained a diploma in Environmental Management, MSc in Environmental Science and finally an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Carleton University, Canada. Prior to his death, he was working as an HSE Manager with an oil and gas company in Edmonton.

We are counting enormously on your generous contributions to enable his body to be taken home so his family can have closure, if any. He leaves behind a wife, 9 months old son (Jr), surviving mother,  a big family (The Nyambi's) and countless friends to mourn him in the most difficult circumstances ever. Viewing, funeral service and burial has been scheduled for January 24, 2015 in Mutengene, Cameroon.

To bring a little peace to Beltus’s concern for his kid, we have added an account to help ease his mind about sending his son (Junior) through school. It’s a small token of our appreciation for his friendship and positive impact on our lives for many years. Many people have asked what they could do to support the family – a small donation to the son’s education fund would be a very meaningful way to support the family he left behind in years to come.
