Allaine Stricklen GT Yoga Long Road to Recovery

Our beloved Allaine Stricklen master of GT Yoga has had surgeries to remove benign masses outside her brain. 

Aside from extraneous medical costs, Allaine will not be able to work while undergoing treatments followed by many months of recovery. Allaine is the sole provider for her sixteen year old son, Jahaiya.

A message from Allaine:
For the sake of my son, family & friends, I have great faith that one day I will regain all of my vitality and health. My recovery has been longer and harder than I ever could have imagined. If it were not for yoga and the incredible community and support of all my chosen family, I could never have survived. I want to thank everyone who has helped me thus far on this journey. Your generous donations, words of encouragement, food, cards, letters, flowers etc have been my lifeline.

However, not counting my medical debt, the everyday living expenses for myself and my son for this second phase of my recovery continue to be a challenge. The doctors have not been able to determine when I can return to teaching, as currently I am still unable to drive and very much focused on physical therapy and doctor’s visits. This next round of fundraising will allow me to continue to heal through summer, when I will have to undergo another surgery. Currently I am experiencing many medical challenges, including blurred vision, loss of hearing, numbness etc.

Thank you again for keeping in your prayers. Your continued support has touched my heart and soul profoundly. If there is a silver lining to this very difficult time, it is to feel the love and support of all my friends across the globe.
