Belmont Helps: volunteers, food assistance & more!
On June 28th 2021, Belmont Helps (started March 14 2020), transitioned to join the Belmont Food Collaborative, Inc., a 501c3 focused on food stability & the parent organization of the Belmont Farmers Market & Belmont Composts.
Inline with BFC's mission promoting good health, access to fresh and local food, nutrition, and local and sustainable farming, Belmont Helps will continue helping those in need of stability with groceries and restaurant gift cards, plus a variety of Brighten Belmont Initiatives for the whole community. Belmont Helps uses donations for others focusing on food stability like groceries and restaurant gift cards, and where needed. We are all volunteers. Please consider a donation to Belmont Helps so we can continue our efforts!
Belmont Helps funds will help us assist the community as quickly and safely as possible, and are tax deductible. We spend around $400 weekly on groceries, restaurant gift cards, and brighten belmont initiatives.
On June 2021 Belmont Helps founders Amy Kirsch and Shana Wang earned Commonwealth Heroine awards for this work. Please donate and help our whole team continue our mission to help!
Thanks so much for coming together!
