As most of you probably know I am a 2nd-year Cinematographer at the American Film Institute. In this year we shoot a 35mm MOS, essentially a second thesis film. The MOS is a concept created by the cinematographer and is meant to be a narrative piece with no dialogue shot on Kodak 35mm film stock. For the first time ever the 35mm MOS are able to be submitted to festivals and distribution. This year for MOS I have decided to combine my two largest passions: film and dance. My concept is extremely raw, and real and very personal.

My MOS concept is about a young woman dealing with a very personal sadness. It’s the sort of emotion that is rarely expressed, but felt almost universally. The film explores the sense of psychological and spiritual crisis that lays dormant, always ready, but never actually taking hold of us.MOS is completely self-funded by the cinematographer. Since I am a full-time student, I need help to raise the funds to make my dream a reality. This concept is one I have had for quite some time and it would mean the world to me to be able to bring it to life.
I realize that I have the greatest support system on earth with my family and friends and am just grateful to have them in my life.
