Bellas Battle with HLH

Bella had heart surgery when she was only one that left her dependent on IV nutrition (TPN).  She has been hospitalized more times than we can count.  She was diagnosed with HLH in 2015 and underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy and steroids.  She had her spleen removed February 2017 and, since then,  her health has declined.  She was diagnosed with Clostridium Difficile (C Diff) in June of 2017 and has suffered from horrible GI symptoms since that time.  She recently underwent a Fecal Microbial Transplant to try to cure the disease.

Bella’s single mom cannot work due to Bella’s extensive medical conditions and receives In Home Supportive Services to care for her.  In Home Supportive Services does not pay Mom while Bella is hospitalized so she’s missed over a month’s salary since August alone.

Bella’s care causes extraordinary expenses annually and her most recent infection is costing thousands of dollars.  Because of these ongoing expenses and to continue to care for Bella at home, her current home is in need of modifications to accommodate her severe immunodeficiency/mobility.  All of the funds raised will go towards that, as well as the expenses that are not covered by insurance.
