Brett and Rhonda would like to take a moment to thank everyone for the out pouring of love, prayers and support during this special moment in their life. Friends were all aware that Bella Grace was on her way but what most did not know was that from about 20 weeks, Brett and Rhonda were given the news that Bella Grace has an often lethal genetic disorder known as Trisomy 18.  As devastating as this was to learn, they carried on with the hope that God would deliver them a miracle. They were told that she would have a 50% chance of being born alive.  And, if Bella did survive birth, she would have a 10% chance of living past her first birthday. They didn't know if they would have seconds, minutes, days, months, or years. Weeks went by and they continued to pray that they would meet Bella at her birth.  On Feb 20, 2015,  after an emergency c-section and many touch-and-go moments, Bella was holding her own with minimal interventions.  Thank you God! Brett and Rhona havr been given the miracle that they had so desperately prayed for. She is beautiful! Shortly after, it was confirmed that she has a congenital heart defect that was identified during ultrasounds and fetal echo. What they weren't expecting was that she would be diagnosed with an esophageal atresia, which is where the esophagus does not connect to the stomach. Because of this, Bella received her nutrition intravenously. After multiple surgeries for her swallowing and her heart defects, infection, breathing issues, etc., Bella Grace is home and the family is caring for her daily needs.  They ask that all of their friends and family continue to pray for them and Bella Grace for strength, healing and continued miracles. They do not know what the next moment will bring for Bella and their family, but will continue to fight for every precious second. She is a true gift from God.  Now, massive medical bills are coming in, insurance costs have risen, and Rhonda isn't able to work much and take care of Bella Grace so any help is truly appreciated.  This means so much, as this precious little girl was seen as a gift from God and was treated as such.  Brett and Rhonda were advocates for Life, and strong advocates for the care that has allowed Bella Grace to touch so many lives.  They are inspirations and will continue to fight so that all children can be given the same chance at life.  Please help if you can.  God bless.
