A year ago, my mom was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 2 Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, during which she has undergone surgery, chemotherapy and continued daily radiation treatments.
Just to give a little info on this type of breast cancer: TNBC refers to any breast cancer that does not express the genes for estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and Her2/neu. This makes it more difficult to treat since most chemotherapies target one of the three receptors, so triple-negative cancers often require combinatorial therapies.
As you can imagine, my mothers medical bills are astronomical and she has been unable to work do to her condition. This fund that I've started will help facilitate the burden that she has undergone.
