Goodbye , Belen Garcia Alvarado

Hello my name is Jennifer, and I just lost my mother Belen yesterday Jan. 23, 2024. My mother Belen was a compassionate and selfless person who always put others before herself. She worked for years as cartographer aka mapmaker. She was devout Catholic and attending St Dominic regularly until Covid hit the community. She touched the lives of many with her kind heart.

She had suffered 3 strokes last year and struggled these last 5 months with depression and regaining her strength back. My mother is now resting and no longer in pain.

Unfortunately, the suddenness of my mother's passing has left our family unprepared to cover the expenses associated with her funeral and cremation. My mother requested that she be cremated but her insurance did not cover all the expenses.

We are humbly reaching out to our community for any financial support. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in honoring my mother Belen's memory.

She was a wife to Julio Alvarado Jr. and a mother of 5

and a pet lover.

Services for Belen Garcia Alvarado on February 7, 2024 will begin for family

3-4pm, public 4pm-8pm. The rosary will begin at 6:30pm at the Ortiz Mortuary Chapel.

Final viewing will be on Thursday,Feb. 8,2024 from 8am-9:30am at Ortiz Mortuary Chapel. Mass and reception will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Rd.starting at 10 am

The reception will be after at the same place.
