<div>My name is Walid Said, and I am fundraising for my good friend Belal and his family. He urgently needs to evacuate with his family to receive immediate treatment because he has suffered a severe eye injury, and his family is in a catastrophic situation.

</div>
<div>Please read Belal's story, in his own words, here:

<div>My name is Belal Qassem. I’m 28 years old, a Palestinian software engineer, I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters, I'm married with a 1-year-old child named Othman. I survived the bombing, but I carry its wounds every day. The war is not over, and neither is my pain.

<div>“I used to wake up every morning and go to work with a smile. I was proud to support my family, proud to be the one holding them together. But that life is gone now.”

<div>Since the beginning of this war 369 days ago, we have been living in fear, struggle, humiliation, and starvation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are living under constant bombardments, airstrikes all the time, and people are killed everywhere. We have been running from shelter to shelter, nowhere is safe
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On October 9, 2023, our home in Beit Hanoun was obliterated by bombs. “We didn’t have time to grab anything. We just ran—barefoot, terrified. My wife and sister held each other as our house came down on top of us.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then, the ten of us are living in a tent in Gaza city with no electricity, gas, or human toilet.
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>We lack clean water, and food is considered a luxury if you find some. When it rains, the water comes in from everywhere. The kids cry at night, not just from fear—but from thirst. Sometimes, I can’t look them in the eyes, because I have nothing to offer them.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My little Othman cannot have his milk and his daily needs for nutritional support, we are living in fear all the time, and we are waiting for our death every moment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I can't explain to you how awful is the tank’s bombs and the clashes, they are very close to us, Gaza is a very small place, nowhere to run.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A piece of shrapnel ripped through my right eye. “I’ve lost 90% of my vision. Every morning I wake up and it feels like broken glass is stuck behind my eyelid. If I don’t get surgery soon, I might go completely blind.”

<div><br />
</div>
<div>“My mom can’t cook anymore. She’s too weak. My father struggles to breathe. And my little sister… she sleeps with her arms wrapped around herself, shivering. She tells me she dreams of silence—but all she hears is war.”

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We didn't ask for much from life; we just wanted to live with dignity. Now, after we've lost everything, we need help. We need someone to extend a helping hand, someone to help us rebuild what's been destroyed, someone to give us a chance to start over. My father is old, my mother is exhausted, and my younger siblings need shelter, safety, and a normal life like any child in this world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If my voice can reach you, I hope you find space in your hearts to help us.Evacuation costs. Surgery. My father's house is not just stones; it is our life, and if we lose it, we lose everything. Is there a compassionate heart that will restore some of what we've lost? Donate and share my campaign with your friends. Help me, after God, and I hope to meet someone who appreciates what I and my family are experiencing during this genocide.
