Transformation, Reinvention and Rebirth

In July of 2012, I was informed while hospitalized that I only had 2 to 3 years to live. Due to my decreasing lung functions, CHF, COPD and a spinal defect, I had become less active and the medications such as steriods started me on a path to gaining weight. I was nearly 400 lbs. I was on oxygen and in a wheelchair for many years. In November of 2012, two surgeons (heros) took me into surgery all the while knowing the odds weren't in my favor to survive. Surgery turned into a marathon as they both worked to keep me alive. They ended up doing an Open Gastric Bypass due to severe scar tissue damage that had engulfed my abdominal areas from previous surgeries. I spent 30 days in a care hospital getting rehabed before staying with friends till I could care for myself. At the time I was taking with vitamins, over the counter meds and perscription meds about 26 pills a day. Over the period of 18 months I lost 205 lbs. I am no longer on the oxygen or use the wheelchair. I am down to 1 medication daily. May 28, 2014 I had my first of three more surgeries to complete my transformation. After the surgery I weighed in at 185 lbs to be down a total of 215 lbs. This surgery financially depleted me of my savings. Insurance will no longer help. The funds I need here will pay for the second of the three surgeries and help cover my bills while out of work. I truthfully am embarassed to ask or say anything. Without a miracle from God, which is possible, I am looking for help and anything will be gratefully appreciated. Everything will go towards my medical needs.
