#BeeThoughtful - Food Bank Campaign

I'm sure you've all experienced it by now; the food shopping frenzy just to buy your basic essentials such as bread, eggs, milk and toilet rolls . These have all become luxury items nobody can seem to get their hands on without visiting multiple stores which not everyone can do.

Demand on resources has not been higher, so kindness, generosity and compassion for those around us in this time of need is more needed than ever before.

This has sparked an idea with the Digital Bees here at The Co-operative Bank - we must support individuals losing their jobs, vulnerable people unable to feed their families and anyone who is feeling the pain of the coronavirus pandemic which has hit the world. Food Banks feel huge pressures at Christmas, so you can't begin to imagine what they are dealing with to feed our nation.

As an ethical bank, this is something we feel very strongly about and we to offer whatever aid we can to the Greater Manchester community.

To support the physical donation campaign we are running, we are also taking online donations via this page. 

“Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly and most underrated agent of human change” – we all have a part to play in making these dark times more bearable for one another so please give what you can to this amazing heart-felt cause.

We also hope we inspire those outside of Greater Manchester to follow our movement and support your local community.
