Bee Creative Community Exhibition
Donation protected
Many of you will have heard of Bee Creative Community Workshops, a little project that I started around four years ago that has grown over the years.
It is self-funded project that runs every Monday night at Middle Street Resource Centre in Beeston. This autumn, we were inspired by a fellow crafter and a wonderful book, to start a stitching project and now have a collection of almost thirty beautifully hand-stitched quilt squares.
The many stitchers are rightly very proud of what they have achieved, but also it reflects perfectly what a group of people can achieve when they work together. We all feel that our collective project, borne out of many hours of commitment, should be put on display when it's finished and for this we will need funding.
I have pledged to give up my social drinking habits (for January and February) and dedicate the money saved by not buying my favourite bottle of Friday night red. Despite what some of you may think, this is not going to be quite enough to hire the exhibition space, get some professional photographs printed and pay for the resources we will need to get our quilt exhibition ready (ha ha).
If you can spare a few pounds to help us realise our goal, we would ALL be really grateful.
You can read more about the project here...
