Bedford Sponsor-A-Basket

Hello, 

Our names are Anshul Shirude, Ayush Shingavi, Lochan Karthikeyan, and Arnav Thotangare. We are four high school students looking to make a change for the families who need the most help in uncertain times.   

Around the nation, the pandemic has changed the situation across all of our states. Food pantries are working hard to ensure they can feed the families who need our help. Recently, the Burlington food pantry reached out to us and were in immediate need for food. Originally, they used to serve 25-30 families per day but they now serve over 57 families daily, and the number is rising everyday. With an increased burden on the food pantries, they need more food. We have made it our mission to provide assistance to the food pantries and their families. Over the last few weeks, we branched out our project and raised a total of $2900 for The Burlington Food Pantry, Lexington Interfaith Food Pantry, and Tewksbury Food Pantry. We would like to continue this mission to Bedford, therefore we have taken on the initiative to serve the several families in need.

When looking at what the Bedford Food Pantry needed, we discovered that they do not accept food donations, but rather requested monetary donations. To continue our mission, we have set up a GoFundMe link and will donate all the proceeds to the Bedford Food Pantry.
