<div>I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart, asking for help for someone who has spent her entire life helping everyone else—my mom.

<div>She was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, and since then her life has been a nonstop whirlwind of tests, procedures, surgery, and now intense chemotherapy and radiation. The treatments are taking a huge toll on her body, her strength, and her ability to work.

<div>Before cancer changed everything, my mom worked two caregiving jobs. She has always been the rock of her household—the sole provider—caring for other people all day, then coming home to care for her husband, who is an amputee. She never complained, never slowed down, and never asked for anything in return.

<div>Now, she physically cannot work.
</div>
<div>And because she isn’t working, their home has fallen into crisis.
</div>

</div>
<div>Bills are piling up. Medical costs are nonstop. And while she’s fighting for her life, she’s also being forced to fight SSI, who is still denying or delaying the support she desperately needs just to survive.

<div>Cancer doesn’t wait. Bills don’t wait. But right now, her body forces her to.
