Five days before her 60th birthday, my momma was hospitalized with intense pain and fatigue. Within a few hours she was diagnosed with leukemia. This was a shock to our little family - me, ma, and our weenie-huahua Plato.
Leukemia is scary - and pathologists are still trying to figure out the exact type so we can begin a treatment plan. This is already requiring so much from her, me, and P-dog.
With your donations we'll be able to make rent for a year and afford to keep mom as comfortable as possible. Soon, she's slated to begin five weeks of chemo at St. Luke's (where she's been staying since falling ill). We don't yet know what comes after that - but we do know that I'm going to be flying between New York City and Boise more than my income can withstand without some help.
Thank you so much, and if you know of any resources we should be aware of please let me know. We're going to try and get a home aide through medicaid once she is out of the hospital, so if you have any experience with that (or anything else I should know about) please message me through gofundme!
Peace and Love and Gratitude,
Ben / "Bobby"
