Becky's Multiple Myeloma Treatment

On Saturday, 19 August, 2017, my first friend & favorite (& only) little sister, Becky (Rebecca Lynn), was diagnosed w/Multiple Myeloma (Kahler's disease)- an unforgiving form of bone cancer.  She had been suffering from intense back pain for months,  but was repeatedly told she simply needed to lose weight & do physical therapy- until the day she couldn't get out of bed and was taken to the emergency room.  What started as routine tests quickly revealed she had multiple lesions on her ribs, hips, and spine, as well as three broken ribs- the doctors suspected it was the result of some form of cancer.  Further tests concluded she has multiple plasmacytomas (myeloma) in the bone marrow itself, making the bones weaker (thus the broken ribs), less able to absorb calcium, and more prone to infection.  Becky has an awesomely positive outlook on the whole situation, is being strong for her family, and wants only to return to her position at Shiloh House (non-profit) where she works directly w/troubled youth, in an attempt to help them deal w/life situations that were not their fault, change/create a new perspective on their future, and give them the tools to function successfully in society.  Becky (& the rest of us) want her home, knowing that she has a long road ahead of physical therapy & chemotherapy, which won't be easy or cheap.  The funds raised will be used for medical expenses, loss of income, as well as any other expenses that may arise.  Thank you & please keep Becky and her family in your prayers...
