We lost the anchor of our family January 4, 2019. Rebecca Preston was a beautiful mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, mother-in-law and much more to many, many people. We began affectionately referring to her as our Ki-Ki after the birth of her grandson and one of her favorite people, Talon James. She lost her battle with breast cancer, and we are devastated. Ki-Ki found out she had stage 4 breast cancer in March 2017, and she fought very hard, undergoing chemo treatments and radiation while receiving test after test. Recently, her cancer grew stronger than she could have ever imagined. Becky was in and out of the hospital during her last few weeks, when finally her cancer was declared untreatable. She was sent home for hospice care where she spent her remaining hours with close family and friends.
This is not the first tragedy the Preston family has endured. In 2006 Becky and her husband Jim Preston lost their oldest son, James. Knowing Becky has been reunited with her son brings a little light to our family during this dark and tragic time. The Preston men, consisting of Jim, Andrew and Nick, have been through the darkest of times and remain strong for each other and their loved ones.
We are hoping to ease the financial burden of extensive hospital bills, medicine, hospice care and funeral costs that the Preston family now faces. Anyone who knew Becky loved her. Her vibrant personality was infectious, and she will never be forgotten. RIP Ki-Ki. We love you to the moon and the stars in the sky.
