UPDATE 4/12: Unfortunately, surgery is no longer an option and we have been informed that mom’s cancer is chemo-resistant. Nonetheless, we are not giving up any hope. Consequently, she will be heading to South Carolina this Sunday for two weeks to attend an integrative cancer treatment center, which will offer her the best mind/body therapies available.
(ie: detoxification, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, photon genius infrared sauna therapy, juicing, personalized supplements, Dr. Budwig’s Diet, The Ketogenic Diet, Gerson Therapy coffee enemas, pulsated electromagnetic field therapy, all natural herbal cancer protocols, rebound exercise, acupuncture, and more.)

On May 10, 2017, our mother Rebecca (Becki) was admitted to the University of Michigan hospital following severe abdominal and liver pain. What was to come is something no one could ever prepare for, especially someone who had taken all standard, precautionary/prevention screening measures. Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer at the age of 52. They had found a primary tumor in the sigmoid region of her colon and additional metastasis in her liver. She had received a colonoscopy less than two years prior, but was told at that time there was no evidence of cancer. How could this be? Life as we knew it was no longer. Immediately upon diagnosis, our hardworking single mom had to leave her job and be put on disability, while she began intense chemotherapy treatments every other week for a 3-day continuous infusion.

After almost a year, 19 infusions, and countless chemotherapy cocktails later, we have been told the standard chemotherapy is not working. She is currently on Michigan Medicaid, which only pays for the conventional treatments that, in our mom’s case, have proven ineffective. As time is of the essence, we are avidly exploring alternative therapies; however, none are covered by her insurance. Her most promising option at this time is thought to be a surgically implanted chemotherapy pump on her liver, as well as an alternative cancer protocol- the Budwig Protocol- with subsequent treatment at a center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in conjunction with Iscador (mistletoe) injections.

Our mom is our hero and the most important person in the world to us and we want nothing more than her health to improve. This battle is one that cannot be fought alone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
