Health is something that is easily taken for granted as we have found out. It is totally devastating to hear a loved one has cancer, knowing it's going to be a very bumpy ride. I also know how financially devastating it can be when one is having to take weeks off work, no pay, yet the bills keep coming and medical bills soar.
When my sister, Becki, was diagnosed in 2009 with breast cancer, the family was shocked. Six years later a second diagnosis of cancer was given and now she is facing a third diagnosis. Wasn't once enough? Becki has such strength, determination, the will to keep going and is an inspiration and very optimistic.
Being sick makes Becki's job challenging. It is hard to know you need to be at work helping make a living but yet you're away from home, sometimes 7 weeks at a time, sometimes 2 or 3 days per week for treatments, check-ups, etc.
I am looking to help Becki the best way I can, by hopefully alleviating the stress these financial worries have added to her life. To help with this burden, I am looking to family, friends and others to raise funds to cover medications, treatments and other expenses involved in her treatments.
Please join me in my effort to help alleviate this burden associated with her medical care. Thank you for your consideration and support. It is greatly appreciated by Becki and all of her family. May God truly bless you for your act of kindness!
