Dear friends and family,
Most of you know I have had a series of unfortunate events lately, starting in September with my severe anaphalaxis event that required an ambulance ride to the ER and multiple follow-up appointments. Following that, I had acquired severe muscle strain in my neck and back (whiplash) from my first car accident, then a kidney stone struck me shortly after. Luckily I was not injured from the second car accident.
This past Monday night (2/26) I slipped on black ice in my driveway and fractured my fibula. I am to undergo a surgical procedure at an orthopedic hospital to have a metal plate inserted to stabalize the fracture in order for it to heal.
My medical bills are really high now and to add this new procedure, the bills are overwhelming (especially where I will not be able to bartend and make any money to continue to pay off my bills). I am financially stressed, as any money spent on living costs will be draining what I have in savings.
In order to have this surgery this Friday on March 2nd, I need to pay a deposit of $766 before check-in, or else I can't have the procedure done. I will be in a boot and cast for about 6 weeks, hoping the recovery goes well. This also means I will be on cruthches for a long time, where I hope to purchase a iwalk medical device that helps make getting around less painful and it will free my arms. I posted a pic of it. It's $149 ( I did not add this to my goal amount).
As hard as this is, I'm trying to stay in high spirits. I'm reaching out for any donation to put towards my surgery deposit and the iwalk device.
